Terms of Service
These terms apply to every interaction with Crowned Koi LLC, a New York limited liability company operating at crownedkoi.com. By making an offer, placing an order, consigning a watch, or engaging us for service or sourcing, you agree to the terms below.
The Company
Crowned Koi LLC is a single-operator watch dealer based in New York City. All agreements run between you and Crowned Koi LLC. These terms, and any dispute arising out of them, are governed by the laws of the State of New York without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any legal action will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York.
Offers and Quotes
Any written offer or quote we send — to buy, trade, or source a watch — is valid for 48 hours from the time it is delivered. After that window the offer expires automatically and may need to be reconfirmed based on current market conditions. Prices on the website can change without notice, and a listing remains an invitation to treat, not a binding contract, until the order is written up and accepted by Crowned Koi.
Payment and Deposits
Crowned Koi accepts Stripe card payments, bank wire transfers, and select other methods on a case-by-case basis. A watch is considered sold only after funds have cleared. Holds and deposits are sometimes used to secure a piece while payment is arranged or while a sourcing request is pending. Deposits are non-refundable if the buyer cancels without cause, including change of mind, financing issues, or undisclosed third-party approval requirements. Deposits remain fully refundable if Crowned Koi cannot deliver the agreed watch or cancels the transaction.
Authentication
Every watch we list is authenticated in-house by Pat before it is offered for sale. We evaluate case, movement, dial, hands, bracelet, and paperwork, and we disclose what we find. Authentication is based on direct inspection and decades of reference material; it is not a guarantee that a watch will pass a specific brand's boutique service policy, which is outside our control.
Consignment
Consignment arrangements are governed by a separate written agreement signed by the consignor and Crowned Koi. That agreement controls the listing price, commission, minimum hold period, insurance, and payout timing. Nothing on this page modifies an executed consignment agreement.
Shipping, Returns, and Warranty
Shipping and returns are governed by our Shipping Policy and Returns Policy, which are incorporated into these terms by reference. Unless otherwise stated on the listing, every watch sold by Crowned Koi includes a one-year limited mechanical warranty from the date of delivery, covering defects in movement function under normal wear. The warranty does not cover damage from impact, water ingress, unauthorized service, or cosmetic wear.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Crowned Koi's liability arising out of any transaction is limited to the amount paid for the watch or service at issue. We are not liable for incidental, consequential, or lost-profit damages.
